United Fund of Columbus Junction received a donation of $2,500 from the America’s Farmers Grow Communities program thanks to Dick and Cindy Grimm. The program, which is sponsored by the Bayer Fund, offers farmers the opportunity to enroll for a chance to win a $2,500 donation to direct toward their favorite community nonprofit organization. The Grimms were selected as winners for Louisa County and chose to send their donation to United Fund because of the wide range of good community projects the organization supports. United Fund annually distributes over $20,000 to area organizations that help families, youth and senior citizens with projects focusing on arts, sports, health care, education, emergency services, recreation and community betterment.
