Steve G. Wiegand

Steve G. Wiegand, 54 of Donnellson, Iowa, passed away at 9:48 p.m. Monday, February 11, 2019 at Great River Hospice House, West Burlington, Iowa.

Born on August 22, 1964, in Fort Madison, Iowa, the son of Paul and Gerry (Krogmeier) Wiegand.  On June 12, 2018 he married Jamie Inez Nies in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa

Survivors include his wife: Jamie, five children: LeeAnn, Danyelle, Tabitha, Darrell and Kevin; his mother Gerry; seven siblings: Barbara Dahlen, Mary Stephenson, Sheryl Wiegand, Brenda Davis, Brian Wigand, Lori Fritz and Kevin Wiegand; eighteen grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

 

He was preceded in death by his father, Paul.

 

Steve graduated from Fort Madison High School in 1982. He worked at Heatilator in Mount Pleasant, Iowa.  His grand babies were his pride and joy.  He enjoyed spending time with family and tinkering in his garage.

 

His body has been entrusted to  Schmitz Funeral Home for cremation.

 

A private family service is being held. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

 

A memorial has been established in his memory.
