Iowa Wesleyan softball played a conference double header at Eureka College. Game one was a pitcher’s duel that ended with the Tigers winning 1-0. The only run of the game came in the 1st inning when Alex Eyman hit a RBI single. Morgan Christner continued her great season picking up the win after seven innings of work allowing just four hits with ten strikeouts and walked only one batter.
Game two had the Red Devils flip the script and won 15-1. Only Tiger run came in the 1st inning when Morgan Christner roped a RBI double to center field. Eureka scored three runs in the 1st, three in the 2nd, seven in the 3rd, and two runs in the 4th inning. Kayla Ford had two hits in the game and Morgan Christner had the team’s only RBI. Tigers are now 23-8 overall and 10-4 in conference play. Iowa Wesleyan softball has a break here and will play again next Thursday when they host Blackburn College.
Tigers are in the home stretch of the season with only seven games remaining, four of those are conference games. The current SLIAC standings have Iowa Wesleyan on the outside looking in as they are in 5th place, top four teams make the conference tournament. In order its Spalding, Westminster, Eureka and Greenville ahead of the Tigers. It will come down to Spalding, Golden Eagles have only played four conference games so far and will have to squeeze 12 SLIAC games in before the end of April.

Saturday: Varsity boys golf playing in an invitational with Columbus Junction, Fort Madison, Pella, and Washington at the Washington Golf & Country Club 9am
Iowa Wesleyan baseball is back at home for a conference series with Fontbonne University. Tigers are 7-22-1 overall and 5-12 in conference games. Griffins are 19-8 overall and 6-5 in conference play. Today will be a single game starting at 4pm and tomorrow will be double header starting at 1pm. Iowa Wesleyan baseball will play seven straight home games and then end the season in Pella against Central College.
