On March 6, 2019, the Henry County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at 1918 W. Courtland Street in Mount Pleasant. The search warrant was the result of a recent narcotics investigation.
As a result of the investigation, on April 17, 2019, Dagan Whaley 35 of Mount Pleasant, was charged with three (3) counts of Delivery of Methamphetamine over 5 grams (class B felony); one (1) count of Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Deliver (class D felony); and four (4) counts of Tax Stamp violation (class D felony). Whaley is currently being held in the Henry County Jail on $100,000 bond.
The Henry County Sheriff’s Office was assisted in the investigation by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, Mount Pleasant Police Department and Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement.
