Jimmy D. Cole, 79, of Bentonsport died at 2:50 P.M. Monday May 4, 2015 at home. He was born September 2, 1935 in Pittsburg to Morris J. and Vergil M. Robbins Cole.
Jimmy grew up in Pittsburg and lived his adult life in Bentonsport. He enjoyed antique cars, motorcycles and attending auctions. Most of all he enjoyed his family especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are his wife, Elaine, a son, Rickie D. Cole and a daughter, Vicki J. Randolph all of Bentonsport, a brother, Ronald Cole of Elma, WA, a step-sister, Wanda Walker of Bloomfield, two grandchildren and three great-granddaughters, Adrian, Corah and Elaine and two great-grandsons, Blake and Liam Randolph.
He was preceded in death by a son, Randy Cole, three brothers, Paul, Ernest and Albert Cole, two sisters, Katherine Robinson and Dorothy Owlett, two half-sisters, Pauline Heinze and Ernestine Cole.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 A.M. Monday May 11, 2015 at Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua with Pastor Danny Cary officiating. Visitation will open at 1 P.M. Sunday with family present for 2-4 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Pittsburg Cemetery, west of Keosauqua. Gifts to a memorial to be designated later by the family may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 26865 Route J40, Keosauqua, IA 52565.
