Work Begins Again on North Iris Street

Written by Theresa Rose on March 26, 2015

Weather permitting crews are looking at starting construction on North Iris Street Monday April 6th. This will require closing North Iris Street from 150’+- North of Washington Street to the North side of the Railroad Crossing. The project managers will be working with the Businesses South of the Railroad tracks on the East side of Iris Street to maintain access to their businesses at all times. The remaining work North of the Railroad tracks will only require partial lane closures to complete the trail and driveway work. This will not impose upon any driveways to businesses. Crews will be putting up the same Detour Route they ended with last year. More details will be released on the routes the first part of next week. The City Crews will be putting up and uncovering signage to route traffic to the Business’s on North Iris Street on April 6th. The closure of North Iris Street will not happen prior to April 6th and could be delayed depending upon weather conditions.
