Wanda Herdrich

Wanda M. Herdrich, 86, of Donnellson, Iowa passed away at 11:13 p.m. Wednesday, June
29, 2016 at the Fort Madison Community Hospital in Fort Madison.
Born October 13, 1929 the daughter of Clarence H. and June Marie (Smith) Ramsey. On
June 19, 1948 she married Harold E. Herdrich in Fort Madison, Iowa.
Survivors include her husband Harold of Donnellson, children; Pamela Taylor (Jim Henson)
of Fort Madison, Linda (Larry) Bolanos of Sioux City, Iowa, Tony (Lana) Herdrich of Dallas
City, Illinois, Carol Herdrich of Donnellson, Monica (Dale) Stecker of Knoxville, Tennessee,
Tom and Lola Marsh of Farmington, Jim (Dee) Herdrich of Fort Madison, Cindy (Bob)
Howard of Denmark, David (Kris) Herdrich of Omaha, Nebraska and Todd (Nicole) Herdrich
of Donnellson, twenty grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, six step grandchildren,
one step great grandchild, one brother; Richard Ramsey of Port Lavacci, Texas, one sister;
Leah Malard of Bismarck, North Dakota and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, two sisters, one daughter;
Debbie Jo Marsh and two grandchildren.
Wanda was a member of St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in Franklin, the Ladies Hope
Circle of the church the Donnellson Garden Club and the Pilot Grove Bank Heritage Club.
She worked at Sheaffer Pen Company and IAAP. Wanda enjoyed quilting, cross stitching
tea towels, talking to people on her iPad and spending time with her grandchildren and
great grandchildren.
Friends may call after 12:00 noon Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at the Schmitz Funeral Home in
Donnellson, Iowa where the family will receive friends from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. that evening.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at St. Peter’s United
Church of Christ in Franklin, Iowa with Pastor Mike Bennett and Deacon Tony Herdrich
officiating.
Burial will be at the St. Peter’s Cemetery rural Franklin, Iowa.
Memorials have been established in her memory to St. Peter’s United Church of Christ or
the Donnellson Fire & Rescue.
