MT. PLEASANT – In today’s health care environment, accepting a leadership role is far more challenging and complex than ever before. Now in its 15th year, the Iowa Hospital Association Health Care Leadership Series exists to develop critical leadership skills and competencies with the overarching objective of increasing retention of committed, quality staff in Iowa hospitals.
Congratulations to Henry County Health Center Emergency Medical Services Director Dan Walderbach for recently completing the Leadership Series. Since its inception, more than 1,400 leaders have participated in the series. Leadership Certificates of Completion were first issued in 2006; to date there have been more than 240 graduates.
To receive a certificate of completion, individuals must meet the following criteria:
• Participate in all six on-site programs (one written absence allowed).
• Complete both careLearning online courses.
• Complete IHA orientation and two webinars.
• Attend IHA Annual Meeting (minimum attendance of one day).
Individuals meeting the certificate requirements were recognized during the IHA Annual Meeting in October.
