WACO School Alerts System being Re-placed. Users must register with new system

WACO students, parents, and community will no longer receive school alerts via text and/or email without registering with the new alert system. The current system will expire on June 30th, 2016. To continue receiving alerts via text and/or email parents, students, care givers, emergency contacts, before/after school caregivers will need to register for the new alert system to receive notifications via text and/or email.

 

WACO will continue to notify of closings, late start, early dismissal, cancelled events through regular media channels:

  1. KCII 106.1 FM radio
  2. KILJ 105.5 FM radio
  3. KCRG TV 9 News
  4. KWQC TV 6 News

 

To receive message via text and/or email everyone must register on the link below. Any individual that does not register with the link below will NOT receive text/email alerts.

There is a School Alert section under Parent Information on the WACO website at www.wacocsd.org.

 

Information has been communicated via:

  • WACO Parent Letter
  • Email to parent addresses on file
  • JH/HS students were allowed to register at the end of tests on the last day of school
  • A message was also sent via the expiring alert system to notify users to register for the New Alert System

WACO asks community members to help spread this information to help eliminate anyone missing information.
