WACO organizations raise funds at Wayland 4th of July Celebration

Numerous WACO Organization will be on hand at the Wayland 4th of July Celebration raising funds for numerous groups.

 

  • WACO Cheerleaders will be selling the popular Ice Cream/Cookie Sandwiches in the morning. Funds raised go toward cheer expenses
  • WACO Carnival will take place at West Park: Games of Skill $0.50/$1.00 with Hot Dogs, pulled pork, walking tacos. Funds help various groups including a trip to Costa Rica in summer 2017; athletics,
  • WACO Trap Shooting Club will serve supper at Wayland City Hall from 4:30 p.m. -7:00 p.m. Pork burger or turkey tenderloin, baked beans, party potatoes, dessert and beverages. This event is free will donation to support trap team expenses. A minimum $5.00 donation/person is suggested.

Come enjoy Wayland 4th of July Celebration with many more activities taking place throughout the day in Wayland.

 

  • Lions Club Breakfast 6:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. Wayland Community Center
  • Freedom Fun Run/Walk (1.5 mile) 7:30 a.m.(rain or shine) no pre-registration; Super Hero theme and costumes encouraged
  • Parade: 10:30 a.m. (rain or shine) Main Street
  • Main Street Activities: 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
  • Museum open various times during the day
  • Scavenger Hunt through town
  • Fireworks: dusk (rain date: July5th)
