VA Hosts Third Local “Town Hall” to Receive Veterans’ Comments

What: The Des Moines Regional Office of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is teaming up with the Central Iowa Health Care System to host their third town hall for Veterans, family members, survivors and the public to provide feedback on VA operations and recommendations for VA programs. Media are invited to attend.
When: Monday, March 9, 2015, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Background: The town hall is one of many VA is holding around the country. The meetings are intended to provide local Veterans, their families and survivors a wide-open forum and for VA officials to hear directly from beneficiaries as a step toward improvement and to rebuild trust among Veterans.
The meeting is open to the public and the media, and VA is inviting Congressional stakeholders, Veteran Service Organizations, Non-Governmental Organizations, and other community partners.
This Des Moines Regional Office and the Central Iowa Health Care System is cohosting this Town Hall to provide an opportunity for Veterans to ask questions about VA benefits and medical care in a central location.
