At approximately 8:47PM on July 20, 2016 the Henry County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a two vehicle accident on Highway 34 east of Mt. Pleasant.
It was found that the front driver’s tire, from an eastbound 1997 Ford Ranger driven by Reality Ankele of West Burlington, came off and struck a westbound Dodge pickup driven by Saul Castillo of Anthony, New Mexico. Castillo’s vehicle received damage to the front bumper and grill area.
No injury was reported and damage was estimated at $3200.
