Lee County Conservation office will be joining Old Fort Madison on Saturday & Sunday with furs of animals that are indigenous to this area on the Mississippi River.  They will also offer a special 1 time exhibit of the amphibians that surround us.  They will have snakes, turtles and frogs that are located in this area.  The Mississippi River is a unique ecological environment.  These programs offered by Lee County Conservation will give guest a better understanding of the types of programs and the actual level of conservation that the state government has in place to protect one of the world’s largest waterways.
