The Iowa Department of Management and Public Health is pleased to announce that The Family Connection of Henry County has earned the Iowa Family Support Credential. The Iowa Family Support Credential is awarded to family support and parent education programs that are validated through an external evaluation to be in substantial adherence to the Iowa Family Support Standards. The Family Connection diligently worked toward meeting all of the 138 standards over the course of more than two years to achieve this. The Iowa Family Support Credential is valid for five years.

The Family Connection would like to celebrate this accomplishment with community partners, supporters, and Henry County families. The celebration will take place Friday, September 18th from 5-7pm at the big shelter house at Saunders Park in Mt. Pleasant. There will be food, games, and a bouncy house. The short award presentation will take place at 5:30pm.

The Family Connection provides an early childhood educational program designed to improve the health and well-being of pregnant women, parents, and their children.
