The Community is invited to a conversation about childcareWritten by Theresa Rose on January 2, 2015
You’re invited to a community conversation about childcare. The local Early Childhood Area Board is hosting a community conversation about childcare. There will be one in Wapello January 6th, one in Burlington January 8th, and one in Mt Pleasant January 12th. Parents, childcare providers, and community members are invited to attend. The purpose of the conversation is to learn directly from parents and childcare providers about local and current childcare issues and to plan for meaningful projects and changes that support local families and childcare providers. No RSVP is required. Information will be provided about childcare in the area, quality efforts in Iowa, and resources for finding childcare. Dessert and snacks will be provided. The January 6th meeting in Wapello will be held at the Louisa County Extension office. The meeting in Burlington on January 8 will be held at the Foursquare Church and the Mt. Pleasant meeting on January 12 will be at the Henry County Extension office. Each meeting will begin at 6:30 pm.
