Mt. Pleasant chalked up a football homecoming victory last night over Ft. Madison by a score of 34-0.  Homecoming King and Senior running back Pat Canby was escorted into the Bloodhound end zone 3 times during the game by his offensive line.  Canby ran 8, 35 and 30 yards for scores to give him 9 touchdowns for the year, he rushed 7 times for 117 yards.  Pat also led the receiving with 2 catches for 48 yards.  Avonte Henly scored with a Caleb Potts blocked punt and Zach Beason ran 5 yards for the other Panther touchdown.   On defense MPHS bent a few times but did not break, Tyler Davis led the tackling but a true team effort held Ft. Madison to only 95 yards of total offense all on the ground as they did not complete a pass.  Next week Mt. Pleasant will take their 2-3 overall record and 1-2 District 5 record to West Burlington-Notre Dame to play the Falcons who lost to Keokuk Friday night 24-10, turning the ball over to the Chiefs 6 times.
