The latest Iowa High School football poll has West Des Moines Valley #1 in Class 4A, Pella tops the 3A poll, Albia is #1 in 2A, Iowa City Regina leads class 1A, Class “A” is topped by Audubon

 

AREA VOLLEYBALL ACTION-Holy Trinity Catholic defeated Harmony 25-4, 25-5, 25-10.  Ali Randolf served 8 of 22 aces the Crusaders had.  Madelyn Orton had 14 kills.

 

Mt. Pleasant Middle School 7th grade volleyball team hosted Washington Monday.  The A team lost in three games……… 21-16, 15-21, 5-15

Serving stats:  Emma Pieper 11/15 5 aces and Karsyn Lamm 5/7 2 aces

The B team lost in two games   10-21, 14-21.  Serving stats:  Kionna Parrish 4/6   4 aces

The C team split17-21, 21-19

The 7th grade Panther volleyball team will travel to Ottumwa on Thursday, September 17th.

 

 

Mt. Pleasant Middle School 8th grade volleyball team played Monday at Washington.  In the “A” match MPMS fell to the Demons 21-19, 18-21, 12-15.

Thursday the 8th grade volleyball team will host Ottumwa.

 

On Friday, September 18th, the Mt. Pleasant Panther football team plays at Chariton.  The Chariton Football team will host a special event with the help of the Iowa National Guard. The Chargers are calling Friday’s matchup the “Armed Forces” game at Reynold’s Field.

The team invites all current and past service people, from all branches of the military to attend and be recognized during the game.

They ask that you wear your uniform or some part of it (shirt, hat, etc.). You will receive free admission into the game. While family members and others are welcome to attend, regular admission fees will apply.  There will be a special  “C” decal  worn by the Chargers during the game. There are other special events/presentations that will occur during the night.

Mt. Pleasant Middle School 7th grade football at Fairfield at 4:30 p.m.  The 8th grade football team will host Fairfield at 4:30 p.m.  Mt. Pleasant plays volleyball at conference foe Ft. Madison tonight in freshman-JV and varsity action

 

Iowa Wesleyan will host Fontbonne University tonight in volleyball.  First serve is set for 7 p.m. in the Olan G. Ruble Arena.
