Iowa Wesleyan fell to Central College 3 games to 1 in volleyball last night at Pella.  Jordon Miller and Lexa Mahr led IW with 7 kills.  Cierra Howard had 16 digs.

 

The Iowa Wesleyan women’s soccer team played the Eureka Red Devils, the match ended in a 0-0 tie.

The Tiger men also hosted Eureka College in soccer action.  Iowa Wesleyan scored a late goal in the second half, but it was not enough and the Red Devils picked up the win by a score of 2-1.

 

Mt. Pleasant Middle School and High School athletic schedule is busy tonight.  The 7th grade football team hosts Edward Stone of Burlington, the 8th grade football team goes to Edward Stone, the middle school and high school cross country teams go to Fairfield and Keokuk comes to town to play volleyball.

 

The Panther Football team has a meal tonight after practice and tomorrow night after the game.  Tonight’s meal is sponsored by Henry County Pork Producers and Phillips Auto Clinic.   For the Friday night post game meal, West Liberty Foods is sponsoring the meal and they will be providing pizza for the players and cheerleaders.
The public is invited to Bracewell Stadium tonight from 5 to 7 p.m., for the “Tradition Calls” Grand Opening Celebration. The event will celebrate the Tradition Calls fundraising campaign to improve and modernize the stadium, a community landmark that has a long and storied history in Burlington.
