Mt. Pleasant had another solid effort for most of their game at Washington Friday night but 2 early touchdowns by the Demons put the Panthers in a hole early, twice Mt. Pleasant got deep into Demon territory and came away with no points in the 42-24 Demon win.  Washington quarterback sophomore Ryan Reighard put on quite a ground and air show.  He rushed for 200 yards and passed for 135 yards to lead Washington to the win.  For M.P. Joe Hess hit 16 of 35 passes for 276 yards with 1 interception.  Hess tossed  a 99 yard TD pass to Dshundric Foster to add big yards to the passing game.  Foster caught 2 passes for 115 yards to lead the receiving, Pat Canby again led the rushing with 9 carries for 56 yards and 1 touchdown, he also caught a 42 yard scoring pass.  Jack Davis caught an 18 yard TD pass.  The Panthers are now 0-8 for the season and 0-5 in the district, they play at Ft. Madison Friday to wrap up the season, the Bloodhounds lost to Keokuk 42-3 and are 2-6 on the year.  The Mt. Pleasant freshmen won 17-14 over Washington.  Avonte Henle and Chase Lamm had toudowns and David Blancas kicked a 26 yard field goal.  Leading the defense were:  James DeMeyer, Tate Shull, Tucker Johnson and Levi Puig.

Iowa Wesleyan is looking to break into the win column today at home against Eureka, kickoff is at 1 p.m.

Iowa travels to Northwestern today and KILJ-FM 105.5 will have the action beginning at 9 a.m. kickoff is 11 a.m.

Iowa State hosts TCU today KILJ-AM 1130 will carry the game live with pregame at 4 p.m. and kickoff at 6 p.m.

The Royals beat the Blue Jays 5-0 in the opening game of the ALCS in K.C.  They play game 2 tonight.  The NLCS begins in the Big Apple with the Mets hosting the Cubs tonight.
