Ft. Madison High School boys soccer team clinched the Southeast Conference soccer title with a 4-0 win over the Mt. Pleasant Panthers at East lake Park. Bloodhounds led 1-0 at halftime. Thursday the Panthers will close out the regular season against class 1A power Danville-New London. Tuesday May 26th the Panthers play Keokuk in the 1st round of the tournaments.

The New London and Winfield Mt. Union High School girl’s golf teams finished 1st and 2nd respectively in the girls class 1A 1st round Regional golf tournament played on the Twin Lakes Golf Course in Winfield Monday. The Tigers shot a 346 led by Jorgi Krieger with an 83 to be medalist, Emma Pry added an 86. Grace Edwards led WMU shooting an 87 as her team put up a 398 score. New London and Winfield Mt. Union now advance onto the Regional final at Marengo Tuesday May 26th to try and qualify for the state meet that will be played at the Ames Golf and Country Club.
In other girls Regional golf action: Williamsburg won the 3A tournament played at the Indian Hills Golf Course in Morning Sun shooting a 366 score, Notre Dame shot 418 for 2nd. Medalist was Kelsa Berkland, Williamsburg with an 82.
2A Golf Regional at the Wahkonsa Golf & Country Club…..Durant shot 400, Iowa City Regina – 409. Medalist was Casey Noble, Wapello – 91.
