The Iowa State Cyclone men’s basketball team did it again Saturday when they recovered from a 17 point defecit to defeat Kansas 70-66 in the Big 12 Conference Tournament Championship game played in Kansas City.  The “Clones” will now wait to see their NCAA Tournament schedule as it will be announced tonight on this selection Sunday.
The Iowa and UNI men’s teams will also be going to the “Big Dance” they also will find out their destinations tonight.
 
The  Iowa High School boy’s State Basketball Tournament wrapped up Saturday.  Dubuque Wahlert repeated as Class 3A champion with a 46-38 win over LeMars.  Cedar Rapids Xavier won the consolation game 49-38 over Williamsburg.
The 4A title was won by North Scott over Mississippi Athletic Conference rival Pleasant Valley 44-36.  The 4A consolation game saw Iowa City West beat Des Moines Hoover 56-47, that was the 500th career coaching win for West coach Steve Bergman.
