The Iowa high School Baseball Coaches Association has released their latest poll of ranked teams.  Class 1A is topped by Mason City Newman, Highland is ranked 10th and New London received some votes.  Class 2A has #1 Wilton leading the class, Class 3A is led by #1 Harlan, Fairfield is receiving some votes.  Class 4A #1 ranked team is Johnston.

AREA HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL TODAY:  The Mt. Pleasant Panthers play at Oskaloosa.  New London at Pekin, Van Buren at Mediapolis, Holy Trinity Catholic at Winfield Mt. Union.BASEBALL SCORES FROM MONDAY NIGHT:  Keokuk swept Washington 2-0 and 5-0, Fairfield won twice over Ft. madison 14-2 and 18-4, Davenport North swept Burlington 7-1 and 7-4, West Burlington 4 New London 2, Mediapolis 11 WMU 0, Holy Trinity Catholic 12 Danville 1.

SOFTBALL SCHEDULE FOR TODAY:  The MPHS softball team goes to Davis County for a tournament.  New London at Pekin, Burlington at Ft. Madison, Iowa Mennonite at West Burlington-Notre Dame, Danville at Columbus , Van Buren at Mediapolis.SOFTBALL SCORES FROM MONDAY:  West Burlington/Notre Dame 6 New London 2, Central Lee 8 Lone tree 7, IMS 15 Columbus 5.

The Young Guns golf program starts tomorrow at The Mt. Pleasant Golf and Country Club.  At 8am the program gets started for kids 10 and older, and 9:15 am for kids 9 and under.

The Iowa Wesleyan Tiger Club announces the 2017 Golf Outing benefiting Tiger Athletics on Wednesday, June 21, at the Spirit Hollow Golf Course in Burlington.

The Tiger Club Golf Outing benefits all aspects of Tiger Athletics directly supporting student-athletes.

The day includes 18 holes of golf on a championship golf course as well as a cart, box lunch, beverage tickets, post-outing reception with dinner, and many raffle drawings.

Shotgun start is set for 10 a.m. Cost is $100 per person and $400 per team of four.  Limit 36 teams.
