The Mt. Pleasant Panther baseball team swept a double header from Washington on the Demons home field Friday night 6-4 and 7-2.  Brady Anderson pitched the 1st win and Marcus Moothart the 2nd.  Cale Christner stroked 2 doubles in the 1st game and Zach Ebling had a 2 run homer in the nightcap.

Mt. Pleasant hosts Washington in football tonight on Bob Evans Field at Maple Leaf Athletic Complex.  Don’t flip your calendar just yet, it’s still June not September…this is the 2nd Alumni Football Game between Mt. Pleasant and Washington High School Alumni.

The event is organized by Alumni Football USA, and will consist of a full contact  football game, as well as various fundraising activities.

M.P. won last year’s game played on Case Field by 1 point.  Kickoff is at 7 p.m. come out and cheer on your favorite players from yesteryear.



MONDAY:  MPHS JV softball and baseball at Fairfield at noon.  Fairfield at MPHS varsity softball and baseball 5:30 p.m.  WEDNESDAY:  MPHS JV baseball at Ft. Madison 5:30 p.m.  MPHS JV and varsity softball at Wapello 6 p.m.  THURSDAY:  MPHS JV softball at baseball at Muscatine 10 a.m.  Keokuk at MPHS varsity softball and baseball 5:30 p.m.  1st baseball game will be on KILJ-FM 105.5 and live.  FRIDAY:  MPHS JV softball and baseball at Keokuk 5:30 p.m.  SATURDAY:  MPHS baseball at Williamsburg Tournament vs Pella and host school.

Mt. Pleasant Panther 2015 boy’s Summer Basketball Camp registration is open for elementary thru high school boys.  The 1st 1 week camp will be held June 22nd thru June 25th and week 2 will be July 13th thru 16th.  Elementary camp is for 3rd thru 5th graders.  Middle School camp for 6th thru 8th and High School camp is for 9th thru 12th graders.  Camps will be conducted by Coach Paul Rundquist, and his staff.  If you have questions contact coach Rundquist for more details.
