The 2015 Mt. Pleasant football camp will be from Aug 5-7. Grades 9-12 will go from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and grades 7-8 will go from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. To participate, bring your completed physical, concussion and consent forms.  For more information contact varsity head football coach Shawn Striegel.

 

The Mount Pleasant Park and Recreation Department is now taking registration for their Youth Summer Volleyball Camp for Girls in grades 6th, 7th, & 8th Grade! This camp will gear you up for the upcoming season! You will learn the basic fundamentals along with fun!

The Mount Pleasant 8th Grade Volleyball Coach, Lisa Lowery will be instructing this camp for the week! If you have any questions please stop in our office or call Ashley at 319-385-1475.

Fee: $20 Residents or $25 Non-residents

 

WMU vs. WACO Alumni Football Game…Friday July 31st, kickoff is at 8:00pm at WMU High School football field. Tickets are available for purchase from any player as well at Winfield City Hall. Presale tickets are $10.00 each and $5.00 from each presale ticket is given back to WMU.

 

Pheasants Forever and partners in Iowa have recently completed the acquisition of a new Wildlife Management Area in Mahaska County. Officially dedicated as the North Skunk River Wildlife Area, the purchase of the 93-acre wildlife complex was spearheaded by the Mahaska County Chapter of Pheasants Forever, and will provide much-needed public hunting access and recreational opportunities along the North Skunk River.

 

This is the 11th year the state tournament has been held at Principal Park. And for the first time, not all the games will be played at Principal Park. After two days of rain, two Class 3A games have been moved to Southeast Polk.
