The Southeast Iowa Super Conference will be having their girls basketball shootout this Friday night at Iowa Wesleyan. First game will be the #2 seeds from the North and South division and that is Pekin vs Van Buren at 6pm. After that every game will begin 15 minutes after the end of the game before. 2nd game will be #1 seeds Mediapolis vs Central Lee, #3 seeds are Highland vs West Burlington, #5 seeds Louisa-Muscatine vs Holy Trinity, #4 Wapello vs Danville, #7 Winfield-Mt Union vs Waco, #6 Iowa Mennonite vs Notre Dame, #9 Columbus vs Cardinal, and #8 Lone Tree vs New London.
Mt Pleasant 7th grade girls basketball hosted Fort Madison yesterday. In the A game Fort Madison won 24-13, Elsie Lange led the team with 7 points. In the B game Fort Madison won 18-6, Jolynn Keomanivong was the leading scorer for Mt Pleasant with 4 points.

Thursday: Varsity bowling will be hosting Fairfield at Iris Bowling Center 1pm
8th grade boys basketball playing at Fort Madison 4:30pm
Varsity wrestling will host Burlington for Senior Night 6:30pm
Friday: Middle School wrestling will host a meet with Fairfield, Fort Madison, Keokuk, and Washington at 4:30pm
JV Wrestling will be in a tournament at Fairfield 5:30pm
Varsity and JV girls basketball will host Fort Madison 6/7:30pm, its Pack the Gym night for Van Allen and Lincoln (No freshman game)
Varsity/JV/Freshman boys basketball will play at Fort Madison 4:45pm/6pm/7:30pm
Saturday: Varsity wrestling will be competing in a tournament at Fairfield at 10am
Varsity basketball girls & boys double header vs Burlington 3pm/4:30pm
Iowa Wesleyan basketball will be heading back down to St Louis for a conference double header at Webster University. The women’s team is 3-12 on the season and 2-7 in conference play, they will be looking to snap a 4 game losing streak against one of the best teams in the conference. Webster’s women’s team is 13-4 overall and 7-2 in conference. The women’s game is at 5:30pm tonight. In the men’s game Iowa Wesleyan enters the game 5-12 overall and 3-7 in conference, they will be playing top conference contender Gorloks who are 12-4 overall and 8-1 in conference games. The men’s game will begin around 7:30pm.
Jeff Wettach, former Mt Pleasant athlete and Class of 75 grad, has been award the prestigious Bob Frederick Sportsmanship Award from the NCAA. This award recognizes a coach, administrator or staff member (past or present) who possesses a demonstrated history of sportsmanship. Wettach is a former teacher/coach at West Delaware and most recently retired as the head men’s and women’s track & field coach at Luther College in Decorah. The 2017-18 track and field season was his 32nd year as head coach of the men’s program and 13th for the women’s. During his career his athletes recorded 516 all-conference performances, 25 indoor conference titles, 80 outdoor conference titles, and 46 All-America honors.
