The MPHS bowling teams bowled in a meet at Arrowhead Bowl in Keokuk on Tuesday, February 10th.

The Panther varsity bowling teams will compete this Saturday, February 14th in the Southeast Conference tournament held at Iris Bowling Center in Mt. Pleasant. Competition begins at 1:00 pm.
Regional team dual meet wrestling in Class 3A was held last night at locations around the state. Ft. Madison wrestled at Cedar Rapids Prairie, they battled with Dubuque Hempstead and lost 55-22. Cedar Rapids Prairie then beat 61-6 Hempstead to qualify for the State Dual meet tournament next Wednesday. Other 3A qualifiers were: S.E. Polk, West Des Moines Dowling, West Des Moines Valley, Bettendorf, North Scott, Johnston, Cedar Rapids Jefferson.
The Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union Regional Tournament games for the 1A & 2A teams in the area kick off tonight. KILJ-FM 105.5 and kilj.com will be broadcasting the Winfield Mt. Union Lady Wolves who are 3-18 playing the 10-11 New London Tigers in Charles Lorber Gymnasium at 7 p.m. Waco plays host to Tri County, Harmony Plays at Holy Trinity Catholic and Moulton-Udell plays at Van Buren.
Class 2A 1st round games begin Saturday night Feb. 14th with Danville at Wapello and West Burlington at Columbus Community at 7 p.m.
Class 3A starts Saturday and has #1 ranked Mediapolis hosting L&M Saturday, KILJ-FM 105.5 and kilj.com will carry that game live. Davis County plays at Central Lee.
The Iowa Wesleyan College men’s basketball team plays host to Central Christian College tonight at 7 p.m. in Olan G. Ruble Arena.
Also tonight the Iowa Hawkeyes play host to Minnesota, the Iowa women play at Nebraska.
Last night UNI men beat Illinois State 83-64. The Southeastern Community College men beat Illinois Central 78-56, Steven and Michael Soukup combined to score 25 points for the Blackhawks.
Mt. Pleasant Rec Center announces their Little Dunkers basketball program for 1st & 2nd graders.
The youngsters in the program will learn how to dribble, pass, shoot! This is an instruction program for boys and girls in 1st & 2nd grade. Children will learn the basics of basketball through fun instructional drills. Youth sized basketballs and lowered baskets will be used. Program will be instructed by the MPCHS Varsity Boys Basketball Head Coach, Paul Rundquist.

SEI SUPER CONFERENCE BOYS BASKETBALL “SHOOTOUT” GAMES ARE TO BE PLAYED FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 13, 2015
“Shootout” games will pair the first place team in the North Division against the first place team in the South Division. Also, the second place teams in each division through the tenth place teams will play each other. All games are to be played on Friday, February 13, 2015 at the North Division schools with the exception of the 2nd place teams, Highland of the North Division vs. Notre Dame of the South Division will be played at Southeast Community College at 6:00 PM and the 1st place teams, Lone Tree of the North Division vs. Danville of the South Division will be played beginning 20 minutes after completion of the first game. KILJ-FM 105.5 and kilj.com will carry that championship battle live beginning at 7:30 p.m. this Saturday.
