Iowa Wesleyan returns nine starters from last years team. Caleb Huss will play a key role in the Tigers quest to build on their success from last season. Huss threw for 1509! yards and 23 touchdowns and earned USCAA All-American and UMAC All-Conference honors a year ago.  IW looks for Tylor Hoyle to step up this year to replace the loss of their main targets last year.  The Tigers will also look for incoming freshman Bryson Oliver to make an impact right away. Last season, he played in just six games but ended the year with 995 yards and 11 touchdowns.

On the defensive side of the ball, Iowa Wesleyan returns five starters.  Nate Daniels, Darryl Smith, Ryan Gerleman and Christian Henriksen are the top returners for the Tigers this season. Daniels led the team in tackles last season at linebacker. He recorded 91 tackles, forced a fumble, and blocked a kick for the purple and white.  Smith returns at defensive back and will look to provide veteran experience. He finished the season with 52 tackles and 3 interceptions.  Ryan Gerleman also returns at defensive back after playing all ten games for Iowa Wesleyan.  Henriksen will be a sophomore defensive lineman for IW.  Last season he recorded 42 tackles and 2 fumble recoveries.  Connor Davidson and Eric Dubose will be key newcomers for the Tigers this year. Davidson comes to the Iowa Wesleyan from Davis County High School and will be looked upon to boost the defensive line and provide toughness and constant pass rush to the team. Dubose, a middle linebacker, joins the Tigers after playing for Hinsdale South High School.  He will help be a run stopper for the IW.
