Fairfield Concert Association performance, open to the general public with $20 ticket

Fairfield, Iowa – SERAPH BRASS, a radiant, charismatic ensemble comprised of America’s top female brass players, plays the Sondheim Theater as part of the Fairfield Concert Association, Sunday, October 2 at 3 p.m.
As graduates of the nation’s top music conservatories, members of the Seraph Brass have won international acclaim, performing in many of the world’s most prominent concert halls and prestigious competitions.
The five women of Seraph Brass represent a new generation of brass players who are committed to challenging audiences with engaging and exciting programming, including well-known classics, original transcriptions and newly commissioned works.
The quintet recognizes the importance of connecting intimately with audiences as well as building community awareness and leadership through performance, teaching and mentorship.

Members of the group have been on staff at Virginia Commonwealth University, St. Olaf College, the University of Dayton and Kye Myung University School of Music in South Korea.
Seraph Brass members, as soloists,  can be heard worldwide, performing in countries including New Zealand, South Korea, China, Mexico, Greece, the Netherlands, and Croatia. The combined solo, orchestral and chamber experience of its members brings to audiences a versatility of sound and style, unique to brass ensembles.
