Southeast Iowa Symphony Orchestra will present a chamber concert in memory of Margaret Hansen at 2:00 PM Sunday, July 12, 2015 at the First United Methodist Church in downtown Burlington, Iowa.

Former SEISO concertmaster, Sylvia Ouelette of Houston, Texas and SEISO’s current concert master, Charlene King of Ottumwa will appear along with a select group of musicians for this special event. Also performing will be SEISO’s incoming Executive Director, Dennis Willhoit.

“This program will have tremendous variety,” said Robert McConnell, who will both conduct and perform on oboe. The concert will include a variety of music including classical, folk and modern music.

Southeast Iowa Symphony Orchestra plans to permanently endow a chair in honor of Margaret Hansen’s many years of outstanding service to the orchestra. Audience members will have an opportunity to make a free-will donation which will go directly to support this project.
