On Tuesday, March 31, art students from high schools all across the region will gather at SCC for a day of workshops and presentations by area artists and instructors.

The show will feature student works from two divisions: south division and north division.

The north division show will run from Saturday, March 21 through Friday, March 27.

The south division show will run from Saturday, March 28 through Friday, April 3.

All works will be on display in the Yohe Memorial Library on the West Burlington campus.

“We’re excited to bring all of these students together and celebrate the abundance of creativity in our high schools in Southeast Iowa,” says SCC Art Instructor, John Bybee.

High school art teachers and local artists will select 15 pieces of work that best represent their schools’ art program.

Pieces will be judged by media categories including drawing, painting, printmaking, graphic design, sculpture, photography, ceramics, and more.

There will be one Best of Show award for each division. Judges will also recognize first, second, and third places, including North Best of Show, South Best of Show, and Honorable Mention in each category.
