Sandra Plowman, 75, of Cedar Rapids formerly of Fairfield died at 4:40 A.M. Friday October 16, 2015 at Mercy Hospital, Iowa City. She was born May 27, 1940 to Don W. and Marjorie Whiting Spilman and married David Plowman. They divorced.
Sandra graduated from Selma High School in 1956. She had worked at Bradshaw Furniture in Fairfield and many years for Iowa Department of corrections, mainly as a probation officer. Sandra was a former member of Fairfield Jaycettes and Fairfield Eagles Lodge.
Surviving are a daughter, Julie Stull (Dennis) of Cedar Rapids, three grandchildren, Lauren Doty and Ryan Stull both of Cedar Rapids and Abigail Sieren of Keota, three great-grandchildren, a great uncle, Clinton Crosier of Slidell, LA, nieces and nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by a son, David M. Plowman, a great grandson, two brothers, Frank and Floyd Spilman.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 A.M. Tuesday October 20, 2015 at Pedrick Funeral Home, Douds with Rev. Jerry Caughron officiating. Visitation will open at 3 P.M. Monday at the funeral home with family present 5-7 P.M. Cremation will follow the service. Memorials to Camp Courageous may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 2401 Canyon Street, S.W., Cedar Rapids, IA 52404
