Rob Hogg for U.S. Senate Campaign Headquarters Grand Opening in Cedar Rapids

Cedar Rapids, Iowa – Rob Hogg, Iowa state senator and candidate for U.S. Senate, is announcing the opening of his Cedar Rapids’ campaign headquarters. Hogg and his staff will welcome state and local leaders, supporters, the general public and the press to an open house on Tuesday, January 5th from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM. The office is located in the Higley Building, 118 3rd Avenue SE, Suite #309 in downtown Cedar Rapids (across from the Paramount).

“Opening a campaign office is an important milestone as we build this campaign for the U.S. Senate,” Hogg said. “Iowans are ready for new leadership to get Congress to work again for our people, our country, and our future. I hope many Iowans will sign up to volunteer at”

Rob Hogg is a fourth generation Iowan. He and his wife Kate have three children: Robert and Dorothy who are college students, and Isabel who attends Cedar Rapids Washington High School. They are members of Christ Episcopal Church in Cedar Rapids.

Hogg is currently serving his third term as state senator for Senate District 33 in Cedar Rapids after two terms as a state representative in the Iowa House. First elected in 2002, he was re-elected in 2004, ran successfully for the Iowa Senate in 2006, and was re-elected to the Iowa Senate in 2010 and 2014.

In the Legislature, Hogg has served on the education, judiciary, public safety, natural resources, energy, environmental protection, appropriations, and ways and means committees. In 2015, he became chair of the Senate Government Oversight Committee. In 2009 and 2010, he served as chair of the Senate Rebuild Iowa Committee after the devastating floods and tornadoes of 2008.
