Results of Joint Narcotics Investigation Nets 4

Four people were arrested following the execution of search warrants at four different locations on March 5th. The Henry County Sheriff’s office just released the details of the arrests after a full investigation of methamphetamine sales and illegal possession of firearms. The warrants stemmed from a joint narcotics investigation with Mt. Pleasant Police. Authorities searched residences at 808 E. Washington and 606 S. Pine in Mt. Pleasant and at two homes in Rome, Iowa…1146 225th St. and 103 S. 2nd Street. Lonnie Jones, James Corder, Matthew McDowell, and Brandon Garrels were all arrested on various charges. Intelligence information received in this case also revealed that Lonnie Jones, a past employee at the Mt. Pleasant High School ws using and selling meth to non-students in the high school parking lot. Meth and drug pipes were seized from his personal belongings at the High School. Further charges and enhancements are pending.
