Written by Theresa Rose on September 4, 2015

Iowa Wesleyan University’s new strategic plan Wesleyan | 2020: Igniting Our Passions was 15 months in the making and inspired by a collaborative process that included over 900 people and 30 stakeholder groups.

On Tuesday, September 8, Iowa Wesleyan University President Steve Titus will deliver the first State of the University Address at 5:30 p.m. in the Social Hall, Howe Student Activity Center on the IWU campus. We encourage all those who were thought partners in co-creating the future of Iowa Wesleyan to attend. The general public is also invited and encouraged to join us.

President Titus will focus on the four themes, 13 goals and 36 initiatives of IW’s new strategic plan. The plan was guided by an ambitious and passionate vision for Iowa Wesleyan to be the preeminent education leader and resource as the regional, comprehensive university for Southeast Iowa and beyond.

Iowa Wesleyan will serve the region in new and robust ways and offer degree and certificate programs relevant to the needs of the region. It will offer an expansive array of online, undergraduate, graduate and adult programs to meet the aspirations of all learners throughout the region and beyond. And it will serve as the leader and convener on important matters and issues of regional, national and international significance.

This is a historical moment and the community’s support and participation is vital to the future of the university. Please join us for the State of the University Address on September 8. All members of the IW community and the general public are invited. A reception will follow.
