Nadine J. Krebill

Nadine J. Krebill, 76, of Donnellson, Iowa, passed away at 5:05 a.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

 

Born February 27, 1940 in rural West Point, Iowa, the daughter of Delbert and Bertha (Eschman) Wilson. On August 16, 1959, she married Larry R. Krebill at Saint Peter’s United Church of Christ in Franklin, Iowa.

 

Survivors include her husband, Larry; three children, Audrey (Linus) Krogmeier of Congerville, IL, Jeff (Amy) Krebill of Donnellson, Iowa, and Natalie (Pete) Knezevich of North Liberty, Iowa; eight grandsons, Paul (Kristen) Krogmeier of Normal, Illinois, Brian (Kristin) Krogmeier of Carlock, Illinois, Thomas and Jacob Spears of Douds, Iowa, Elijah Spears and Joseph Krebill of Donnellson, Iowa; and Daniel and Nicholas Knezevich of North Liberty, Iowa; three great-grandchildren, Case and Axel Krogmeier and Chenoa Topping; one sister, Lorene Boyer of Donnellson, Iowa; many nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Mary (Tim) Driscoll of Marengo.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Genevieve and Doris; two brothers, Edwin and Roger; and three nephews.

 

Nadine was a member of the Saint John United Church of Christ in Fort Madison, Iowa. She was a 1958 graduate of Donnellson High School. Nadine worked at the Lee County FSA Office in Donnellson, Iowa from which she retired with twenty years of service. She enjoyed spending time with her family, making cinnamon rolls for her grandsons, and working in her yard.

 

Per her wishes, her body has been cremated.

 

Friends may call after 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 3, 2016 at the Schmitz Funeral Home in Donnellson, Iowa where the family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. that evening.

 

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 4, 2016 at the Schmitz Funeral Home in Donnellson with Reverend Cheryl Simpson officiating. Burial will be held at the Evangelical Cemetery in Donnellson, Iowa at the later date.

 

A memorial has been established for the Lee County Sheriff’s Office Reserves and Lee County Hospice
