Mt. Pleasant Iris Street Construction Update

Cole Construction will continue installing storm sewer on Iris St hoping to finish the storm sewer by April 29th. Jones Contracting will continue pouring the trail North of the RR tracks on Iris St. The Iris St. & Monroe St. intersection will be closed to traffic Monday April 27th at 8:30 A.M. At this time the Iris St. closure will be from the North side of the RR tracks on Iris St. to 150’ +- North of Washington St. Monroe St. will be closed to thru traffic unless you have business at Innovairre South Plant or other Businesses along Monroe St. The last Street to turn off Monroe St. is Haynes St. The Innovarrie West parking lot is not a thru street and should not be being used in that manner. The BNSF will be mobilizing Monday April 27th to finish installing new concrete RR panels. Cole Construction will be removing concrete from the Iris St. & Monroe St. intersection Monday April 27th. MPMU will be installing a new water line across Iris St. just North of Monroe St. while the intersection is shut down. This intersection will be closed down while Shipley Contracting finishes the paving of the RR header and Iris St & Monroe St. intersection. There also will be no thru traffic on Iris St. South of 235th St (Blue Grass Dr.) after April 27th at 8:30 A.M. Contractor’s will continue to use Flaggers on North Iris St. while Jones Contracting is pouring the trail.
