Written by Theresa Rose on August 27, 2015

Mt. Pleasant City Council member Tim Gray is up for re-election to the council in November. Gray announced at the regular meeting last night that he would not run again due to other commitments. He is planning to go back to school to further his music education. Council members Steve Engberg and Matt Crull both announced their intentions to run again and Mayor Steve Brimhall said he will also seek re-election.
Seats up for election in Winfield this year are Mayor Chris Finnell’s, and the council seats currently held by Roger Sharp and Kathy Nelson. These are four year terms.
Nomination papers for November 3 city elections may be picked up at local city offices and must be returned to the Auditor’s office by 5 pm on September 17. Nomination papers are also available online at the Secretary of State website.
