Maurice Edward Loges, 85, of Donnellson, passed away at 5:20 A.M. Friday August 19, 2016 at the Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua.

Born October 30, 1930 at Donnellson, Iowa the son of John and Verda Lowenberg Loges. On March 6, 1956 at Fort Madison, Iowa he married Charlotte Hasenclever.

Survivors include his wife Charlotte of Donnellson. One son Ronald (wife Janice) Loges of Donnellson. One grandson David (wife Nichole) Loges. Also surviving are two great-grandchildren Blake and Anna.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Robert Loges.

Maurice was a member of the Zion Mennonite Church in Donnellson where he served on the church board for many years. He was a United States Army Veteran serving during the Korean War. Maurice was a lifelong farmer and a member of the Lee County Farm Bureau. He enjoyed time spent with family, NASCAR racing, country music and playing cards.

Per his wishes his body has been cremated.

A private family graveside service will be held in the Zion Mennonite Cemetery in rural Donnellson.
