Mary Noble

Mary Jensen Noble, 81, of Keosauqua died at 12:20 P.M. Tuesday January 27, 2015 at Good Samaritan Society-Van Buren, Keosauqua. She was born September 20, 1933 at Amherst, Ohio to Rev. Roy and Marie Mueller Jensen and married David R. Noble June 2, 1956 at Elyria, Ohio. He died December 16, 2010. The Nobles lived many years in Cedar Rapids where Mary taught pre-school. They moved to Douds in 1989 and Mary moved to Keosauqua in 2011.

She was an active member of Christ United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Twin City Chapter No. 258, Order of Eastern Star and John Hyson Reneker Unit No. 494, American Legion Auxiliary all in Douds and Chapter AD, P.E.O., Milton.

Surviving are three daughters, Katherine Smith and husband Steve of Coralville, Deborah Finney and husband Jon of Keosauqua and Mary Kimpston and husband Bruce of Ankeny, five grandchildren, Jonathan and Elizabeth Finney, Alicia Smith and Chris and Emily Kimpston. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Neal and Roy Jensen.

Funeral services will be at 11 A.M. Friday January 30, 2015 at Christ United Methodist Church, Douds with Rev. Mark Young officiating. Visitation with family present will be 10-11 A.M. Friday at the church prior to the service. Burial will in Mt. Moriah Cemetery north of Douds. Memorials to Christ United Methodist Church or Good Samaritan Society-Van Buren may be left at the church or mailed to the family at 17248 Hwy. 1, Keosauqua, IA 52565. Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua is handling the arrangements.
