Margaret Hull

Margaret Hull, 101 of Bloomfield, formerly of Douds departed this life at 11:23 P.M. Thursday September 10, 2015 at Davis County Hospital, Bloomfield.  She was born February 18, 1914 in Eldon to Leo and Edna Wilkinson Bureker and was raised by her maternal grandparents, Gideon and Emma Wilkinson.  She married Ancel L. Hull on February 11, 1933 at Lancaster, MO.  He preceded her in death December 2, 1991.

Margaret grew up on a farm near Eldon and graduated from Eldon High School.  She lived her married life in the Douds community, attended Lebanon United Methodist Church, was a gold star sister and 50 year plus member of John Hyson Reneker Unit No. 494, American Legion Auxiliary which she served many years as Poppy Chairman and belonged to the Valley Ladies Club, Douds Senior Citizens Group and Douds Community Club.

Surviving are a half-brother Elmer Ash of Ajo, AZ, two sisters-in-law, Ruth White of Ottumwa and Mildred Wilkinson of Bloomfield, nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, step-father, Harve Ash, grandparents, three brothers, Lloyd, Lawrence and Marvin Wilkinson, two half-brothers, Leroy and Carl Ash, two half-sisters, Dorothy Davis and Delores Hall, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 A.M.  Wednesday September 16, 2015 at Pedrick Funeral Home, Douds with Rev. Mark Young officiating.  Visitation will open at 3 P.M.  Tuesday with family present from 5-7 P.M. at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Leando Cemetery, Douds.  Memorials to Lebanon Methodist Church or Leando Cemetery may be left at the funeral home or mailed to Christine Turner at 13445 200th Road, Douds, IA 52551.
