Born June 8, 1920, in Rockford, IL, Margaret Annette was the daughter of Arthur Richard and Edna Palmer Haley.  She graduated from Rockford Senior High School and attended Beloit College in Wisconsin.  On June 20, 1941, Peg married Fred Hoegberg at her parents’ home in Rockford. He preceded her in death April of 1998.

A homemaker and secretary, Peg helped in the office of her husband’s business, G & H Tool Company.  She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Rockford, IL, a member of P.E.O., and a longtime member of Forest Hills Country Club.  She loved to read, travel and spend time with family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Because of her generosity and sweet disposition, Peg always thought of others first, putting their wants and needs ahead of her own.  She is loved and will be missed by those who knew her.

Peg is survived by two daughters, Patti McClure of Mt. Pleasant, IA and Wendi (Dave) Johnson of Rapid City, SD; one son, Lon Hoegberg of Belvidere, IL; seven grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.

Along with her parents and husband, Peg was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Hoegberg.
