Man charged with attempted murder

A Mt. Pleasant man was arrested Monday on several charges, including attempted murder. Mt. Pleasant Police and the Henry County Sheriff’s office were dispatched to the Chesapeake Apartment complex on Palm Avenue just before 9 PM to investigate a report of shots fired. Authorities discovered that a truck driven by Corey Robinson was shot at as it was leaving the apartment complex. Bullets struck the vehicle but Robinson, who was alone, was not injured. As a result of further investigation, 29 year old Trumain Hatchett was arrested and taken to Henry County Jail. He is charged with attempted murder, intimidation with a dangerous weapon, felon in possession of a firearm, carrying weapons and assault with a dangerous weapon The investigation into the incident continues.
