For 19 years, Loretta was employed at the former Sylvania Corp. in West Burlington, producing picture tubes for television sets. Loretta spent her spare time crocheting, quilting and embroidering. For a number of years, she did some cooking for the Moose Club and worked in the kitchen at the church for the Faith Lutheran Tent at Midwest Old Threshers.
Those thankful for sharing in Loretta’s life include her 3 children and their spouses – Larry & Terry Hite of Mount Pleasant, Sheryl & Donald McDonell of Coggon, IA and Rex & Marilyn Hite of Mt. Pleasant; 11 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Her parents, husband and a sister, Doris Jean Welcher precede Loretta in death.
