The Busy Bee 4-H Club, Lucky Clovers 4-H Club and confirmation students of St. James of St. Paul, St. John’s of Houghton, St. Mary’s of West Point and St. Boniface of Farmington joined forces to raise funds for Heifer International. They conducted several fundraisers including a traveling animal fundraiser, church donations and more. Heifer International provides livestock animals and environmentally sound agricultural training to struggling families to end hunger and poverty. The youth chose to purchase: 1 heifer, 1 water buffalo, 2 pigs, 1 llama, 1 goat, trees, 2 flocks of ducks, 2 flock of chicks, 2 flock of geese, honeybees, send a girl to school AND gift of clean water.
