Law Center Takes Immediate Action When Lightning Strikes

Written by Theresa Rose on July 20, 2016

The thunderstorm that moved thru the area Tuesday afternoon created a problem for Henry County Law enforcement.  A lightening strike caused the electricity to go off at the Henry County Law Center.  But dispatch immediately set up alternative means of communicating so that the county was not without emergency response. 911 emergency calls were immediately routed thru Lee County dispatch.  Callers with non-emergency situations to report could call Lee County dispatch and they in turn called the private cell number of one of the Henry County dispatchers who also immediately established communication with police, deputies, fire and ambulance.  As of this morning the important systems like 911 and office calls were all being handled again at the Henry County law Center.
