LAST WEEKEND FOR GIRL SCOUT COOKIESWritten by Theresa Rose on March 14, 2018
The 2018 Girl Scout Cookie Sale Ends March 18
March 13, 2018– Girl Scout Cookie fans will want to make their final purchases before the sale closes on March 18, 2018. This weekend will be the last opportunity to purchase Girl Scout Cookies before 2019. Visit www.GirlScoutCookies.org to find where girls will be selling cookies near you.
When you make a Girl Scout Cookie purchase, you’re helping the next generation of girl entrepreneurs get an important taste of what it takes to be successful—teamwork, planning, and a positive outlook. The Cookie Sale Program is the largest financial literacy program for Girl Scouts and many alumnae say that their experience selling Girl Scout Cookies was a critical first step on a path to success in their life and career. As the largest entrepreneurial program for girls in the world, the Girl Scout Cookie Program is powering the next century of girl leaders toward an amazing future.
While stocking up on Thin Mints, customers can now choose to donate boxes of cookies to a worthy cause. During the 2018 Cookie Sale, Girl Scouts will be collecting donated cookies to give to the military. Customers can make $4 donations that represent a box of cookies that will be given to Soldier’s Angels and Riverbend Troop Support, organizations that send care packages to the brave men and women in our military. When troops receive these cookies, it serves as a great reminder of home.
In 2018, Girl Scouts in our local council have set a goal of collecting 2,018 cases of cookies to donate. As a council, we are less than 400 cases of cookies away from meeting this goal, so when the Girl Scout in your life asks you to purchase cookies, remember to add an extra box for our troops.

Proceeds from your purchase stay local and help ensure quality, local programming for girls and support for volunteers. The Cookie Sale Program also provides troops the opportunity to raise funds and fuel the exciting opportunities they have planned for the year. The very popular S’mores cookie was unveiled in the 2017 sale and will be available for purchase again in 2018. Last season, these crunchy graham sandwich cookies with a creamy chocolate and marshmallow filling sold out, so it is recommended that customers stock up when making their orders.
Traditional flavors are $4/box and the S’mores cookies and gluten free Toffee-tastic cookies are $5/box.
