Sondheim Chamber Music Spotlight Series kicks off with Mt. Pleasant pianists

Fairfield, Iowa – The Sondheim Chamber Music Spotlight Series kicks off with a piano duet recital, “Fantasies on the Steinway,” featuring Dr. Joel Brown and Heidi Riepe, of Mt. Pleasant, Tuesday, September 17 at 7:30 p.m. at the Sondheim Center for the Performing Arts.
Brown and Riepe will perform selections from Claude Debussey, Donald Townsend and Franz Schubert and feature the Petite Suite, 4 Fantasies on American Folksongs and Fantasy in f minor, Op. 104, D. 940.

Brown, retired Professor Music from Iowa Wesleyan University, makes a return visit to the Chamber Music Spotlight Series and is joined by Heidi Riepe, making her debut on the series. Riepe graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Music degree in piano performance and has taught collegiate level piano for many years.
