Janet Keller Lawson, 80, formerly of Stockport and Keosauqua died January 28, 2013 at the home of her daughter, Lisa Mast in Alva, FL, a suburb of Ft. Meyers.
She was born December 15, 1934 in rural Stockport to Boyd and Marie Brown Kisling and married Raymond Keller August 24, 1952. He died January 31, 1980. Janet married Roxie Lawson January 1, 1995. He died May 8, 2009.
She graduated from Stockport High School and Indian Hills Community College, Ottumwa as a medical secretary. She was a homemaker and had worked at Prairie Grain Co., Stockport and Van Buren County ASCS office, Keosauqua. In Ft. Myers she worked as a unit secretary at Charter Glade Hospital. She had lived in Florida 1982-1995 and since 2011. Janet was a member of the Stockport Christian Church and had been a member of Stock Port Chapter No. 544, Order of Eastern Star.
Surviving are a son, Leland Keller (Melody) of Enid, OK, two daughters, Lisa Mast (Darrell) of Alva, FL and JoEllen Keller of Ft. Myers, FL, six grandchildren, a step grandson, 14 great grandchildren, tree brothers, Donald Kisling (Karen) and Norman Kisling (Jane) all of Stockport and Randy Kisling (Karen) of Keosauqua, a sister, Rita McCoy (Hugh) of Phoenix, AZ and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 A.M. Thursday February 5, 2015 at Stockport Christian Church with ministers Eric Keller and Don Hill officiating. Visitation will open at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday at Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua with family present from 5-7 P.M. Burial will be in Miller Chapel Cemetery Northeast of Keosauqua. Janet requested memorials to Stockport Christian Church rather than flowers. Gifts may be left at the funeral home or church or mailed to the family at 17851 Oak Creek Road, Alva, FL 33920.
