Mount Pleasant, IA – May 9, 2017 – Iowa Wesleyan University will host its decennial re-accreditation visit by its regional accrediting body, the Higher Learning Commission.  Iowa Wesleyan is seeking comments from the public about the University in preparation for this regularly scheduled visit and review.


The University will host this visit on November 6-7, 2017, with a team representing the Higher Learning Commission (HLC).  Iowa Wesleyan University has been accredited by HLC since 1933. The team will review the institution’s ongoing ability to meet HLC’s Criteria for Accreditation.  All colleges and universities accredited by HLC are required to undergo this regular and periodic review every 10 years.

Comments must address substantive matters related to the quality of the institution or its academic programs. Comments must be in writing.
