Iowa Lieutenant Governor and Potential 2016 Presidential Candidate to speak in Fort Madison, Saturday, July 25, 2015.

Fort Madison, IA – On Saturday, July 25th, at 6:00 P.M. the Lee County Republicans will be highly honored to present both Iowa’s Lt. Governor Kim Reynolds and 2016 Presidential Candidate, Carly Fiorina, as keynote speakers at the annual Lee County Republican Banquet at Fort Madison Comfort Inn & Suites in Fort Madison.
Reynolds, presently serving a second term as lieutenant governor, is a former Iowa state senator, representing District 48. In her capacity as lieutenant governor, Reynolds co-chairs the governor’s Science, Technology, Engineering and Math Advisory Council, the Iowa Partnership for Economic Progress board the Military Children Education Coalition and serves as Gov. Branstad’s representative on the board of the Iowa State Fair.
Currently, Fiorina is one of the most active presidential candidates in both Iowa and New Hampshire, both states having the first two contests in 2016. In speaking to potential supporters, Fiorina tells of her rise from a Kelly Girl secretary to the first woman CEO of a Fortune 20 company, Hewlett-Packard. Her recent speech at the Lincoln Dinner in Des Moines was given a standing ovation and left listeners wanting to hear more.
Additional speakers include State Senator from Ottumwa, Mark Chelgren; Secretary of State, Paul Pate; Secretary of Agriculture, Bill Northey; National Committeeman from Iowa, Steve Scheffler; and Iowa Federation of College Republicans spokesperson, Brittany Guara.
“Each year we try to make it better than the last and this year is no exception,” said Terry Schrepfer, Chair of the Lee County Republicans. Last year’s event was attended by more than 180 supporters.
The extravaganza will take place at The Fort Madison Comfort Inn & Suites, located on the west end of Fort Madison at the junction of Hwy’s 2 & 61.
The evening will begin with an invocation given by Pastor Brian Koelsch of Grace Bible Church and the National Anthem being performed by Michelle Vandenberg.
